Directory Browsing

When enabled, Directory Browsing automatically creates directory listings for any directory, under the virtual root (\docs\) whenever a default HTML web document can not be found. This allows a remote user to see a listing of all files that are in the folder and any subfolders. If you are just serving individual files (like a collection of word processing files or Adobe Acrobat PDF documents) where you don't have a web page, you may want to enable this feature.

However, there is a slight security risk because any user can see the entire contents of your WebServUSB root folder, and you may not want that. A better way is to provide a default HTML web page with links to individual files.

If you don't want to allow remote web visitors to see all your files, uncheck the box.
