Configuring the FTP Server -
HTTP Server | Main configuring page
The FTP Server has 3 main settings windows. It will need to be configured prior to any use.
The Main FTP Server Window
FTP
The FTP Server Port: 21 is the default, and for general FTP use just leave it as it is. If you are not going to do any FTP, just let the settings stay as they are.
Anonymous Login
If you want to allow anyone to access a directory to FTP files (such as downloads of
files), click the 'Allow Anonymous Logins' box. Then browse to the directory of your choice.
Warning! Allowing anonymous login does carry
some security risks. If you want to limit who can login, first create user
accounts in the "Server" section then add those users to the FTP Users section.
Welcome Text
The Welcome Text is the welcome message that is displayed when a user connects to the FTP server. The 'Welcome Text' field should point to a text file that contains the message that you want displayed when an FTP user logs in to your system.
By default it is set to \config\ftpwelcome.txt
Browse to the directory where you have placed a welcome message/instructions for the download files.
You can create/edit a new welcome text file using Notepad.
